Day 6: February 14th

Ciao!

We spent our Valentine’s Day in Capri, a little island that is only a 20 or so minute boat ride away
from Sorrento. (The boat we took was called Zeus). Capri was undoubtedly one of the most
beautiful places I have ever seen.

Upon reaching the Marina Grande (the harbor) we saw a display of small restaurants, shops and homes,

all of which seemed to compliment one another with a blue and white color scheme. We ended getting
on a smaller boat that sped around the island. The tour guide on the boat pointed out beautiful little caves
lined with coral at the bottom.

After the boat ride, we hopped on small bus up the island to have lunch at Ristorante la Pigna,
where all of us ordered Ravioli (even Mrs. Green). It was very good! We also inhaled bread and olive oil,
per usual.

Then we headed to the Gardens of Augustus; this was by far the best part. The garden had beautiful
statues and flowers and it overlooked the sea and cliffs. It was probably the most peaceful and
breathtaking view I have seen in my whole entire life! I will include photos to prove it.
Before our free time at Capri, we had the chance to make a quick stop at Carthusia,
which is a famous little perfume store. They sold perfumes, lotions and soaps in a variety of scents.

During free time, we were allowed to walk around the shops or hangout on the beach.
Most of us ended up hanging out on the beach, skipping rocks and talking. It was wonderful.

After departing Capri on the big Zeus boat, we walked around the neighborhood our hotel is in.

There happened to be a big fair all along the main streets for Valentine’s day. There were games, food,
and countless stands of jewelry, toys, candy and sunglasses. Nicki was kind of tricked into buying a
pair of sunglasses.

We wrapped up the day with dinner at the local restaurant and playing cards at the hotel.

No one threw up or accidentally trespassed today, but Michael did airdrop the whole group

(including our tour guide) a video of Joah dancing.

Capri was beautiful and I miss it already! It was a perfect way to wrap up our last day in Sorrento.

Tomorrow we head to Rome!

Sending a lot of love from Italy this Valentine’s day!
