Day 1: February 9th

                CHICAGO TO FRANKFURT

February 09, 2019 was one of the most exciting days of my life. Having the opportunity to travel for the first time overseas with a group of wonderful people is terrific. Flying overseas was definitely an interesting experience. If I had one word to sum it up I would say it was ecstatic.

Before we boarded the plane we got the chance to look around the airport for some food and since I've never been to an airport, as we were looking around we went into this "rainbow tunnel" which was absolutely gorgeous.

After grabbing something to eat the time came to board the plane. I was very nervous to the point where I felt my hands shaking. As we got into the plane and got seated into our seats. I was just praying that everything would go alright. As the plane started to elevate I began to feel queasy, my head was getting dizzy, and my ears felt like they                                             were popping. This lasted for a few minutes, but it 
                                         was all worth it because I was able to see a lot of the 
                                         landscape from above the sky.

It got very tiring and boring after 2 hours of already being on the plane, but the excitement of seeing Italy was the reason for me boarding the plane in the first place. So I  wouldn't let boredom get the best of me and decided to see movies and listen to music while I was on the plane.

After a few hours, we finally had some food which was actually pretty good, I got some pasta, with some bread and some crumb cake, some salad, other types of foods.

Finally, the time came the plane ride was over. After many hours of being on the airplane, we finally landed in Frankfurt. We are now one step closer from Italy. I can't wait for the upcoming adventures that will commence. This has definitely been a worthwhile trip and the thing is it has even started yet.
